So I am currently out on the road with Emmylou Harris and her Red Dirt Boys having an incredible time playing around Australia with some of the finest musicians in the world. It is a huge honour for me and I am in awe that I have been asked along for such an amazing string of shows. To celebrate the tour I have uploaded a new video to YouTube of one of my favourite Emmylou songs ‘Timberline’ that she wrote with Paul Kennerley. Hope you like it!

It is officially time for Ben Abraham to record his debut album and he needs your help to do it. Ben has set up a crowd funding site through Pozible and anyone can get involved. For more info check out the video below.

SO this week has been a bit of a sad one at work and it also marks exactly five years since my experience with Starlight began. Seems fitting that I post the video for the song ‘Let Your Light’.

The clip is a live recording from the gig at The Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne last December and the song was in many ways the beginning of my music career as it is today. You can read more about that here.

In other news I guess I should give you a bit of an update about the year…which I will do. But not right now. Right now I’m going to go think about how much I love my job and how lucky I have been to do it for five years and counting.

December 18! Put it in your diary and get ready for the show to end all shows. Well at least for this year.

It’s been an insane 12 months and to cap it all off we’re taking over the Thornbury Theatre for a night of celebrations, new songs, Christmas covers and special guests.

As always Annie Davidson has done a stellar poster for the night (pictured) and I’m particularly excited for this gig because my good friend John Flanagan is opening the night with his band The Begin Agains. Believe it or not, after all these years, this is the first time John has ever opened a headlining gig for me.

Hey there!

I’m excited to announce my first ever Sydney show is happening at The Vanguard on Thursday the 8th of September. This will be my first official breach of the state line as a performer so I’m pretty pumped about the show. If you’re keen to come you can see details for the show over in the in the GIGS section.
